Marine Biology Class 2.

Marine biology - the study of the seas and inhbitants of their relationships to eachother and their environment.

oceanography - oceans, waves, tides, currents, its a physical science

Darwin - naturalist, marine biologist. Evolution. - natural selection.

He worked on barnicles. [barnicle fanatic] He worked out how they fed, what kind of organisms they were. He also worked out how Atol developed. which is a type of coral reef formation. 

In 1877 - alexander agesty. [In the US now] He worked on marine animals. Brightly colored animals = usual some place warm and near the surface. Oraganisms that are blue and green = level down. red colored/black colored = another level down.

Theres a whole bunch of smaller labs, those are some of the main ones. 

Monitoring labs - there focused on research - working on cell division - which could be linked to cancers- ect

development - enrology - stem cell - neuro biology - bio technology - applicatons of marine organisms or products

Maine ecology - from the greek work oikos meaning “home”

ecology is the study of relationships amoung organisms and the interactions of organisms with their enviorment.

habitat - where an organism lives

an organism havitiat is where it lives, and its niche is teh ole the organism plats in its community
